With our Mixed Phase Catalyst (MPC®) technology, we produce catalyst formulations for gasoline, diesel and natural gas-induced emissions that perform significantly better than those previously available.

This advantage comes from creating a catalyst that uses unique nanostructures with superior stability under prolonged exposure to high temperatures. This nanostructure technology enables the oxidizing catalysts in its compounds to resist sintering, or fusing, thereby maintaining a high catalytic surface area.

As a result, in heavy duty diesel and automotive applications, our catalyst formulations maintain high levels of performance over time using substantially lower platinum group metals than products previously available. You can take advantage of our current catalyst products:

  • Three-Way Catalyst (TWC):
    A catalyst in a catalytic converter capable of simultaneously converting carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC) and oxides of nitrogen (NOx) into carbon dioxide (CO2), water (H2O) and nitrogen (N2). We offer palladium-only, palladium/rhodium and platinum/rhodium catalysts for gasoline, light duty vehicles (LDVs).
  • Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR):
    Selective Catalytic Reduction technology, or SCR, is the process of injecting ammonia or other reagent into an exhaust system, ahead of a catalyst, for the reduction of NOx. We offer low and high temperature SCR technology for LDV and heavy duty diesel (HDD) vehicles.
  • Catalysed Diesel Particulate Filter (CDPF):
    Catalysed Diesel Particulate Filters provide major reductions in diesel particulate matter (PM) emissions and provide the durability and dependability required for diesel applications. We offer base metal and platinum group metal catalysed diesel particulate filters for LDV and HDD vehicles.
  • Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC):
    A diesel oxidation catalyst, or DOC, is a device that uses a chemical process to break down pollutants in the exhaust stream into less harmful components. More specifically, it is a physical device with a porous ceramic honeycomb-like structure that is coated with a material that catalyzes a chemical reaction to reduce pollution. We offer platinum only and palladium/rhodium DOCs for LDV and HDD vehicles.

We have supplied our catalyst products to automotive OEMs such as Honda, Ford Motor Company, Renault, Fisker Automotive and General Motors. Our catalysts are also utilized in our heavy duty diesel emission control systems and for different applications in the energy sector, such as SCR NOx control for industrial and utility boilers, process heaters, gas turbines and generator sets.

Our proprietary Catalyst Division products are manufactured at our facility in Oxnard, California and we have supplied over 11 million catalyst parts to our customers since 1996.
