In regions of poor quality fuel the durability of oxidation catalysts used in two-stroke applications can be significantly improved. The use of Platinum Plus® in combination with two-stroke fuels has been shown to reduce emissions and lengthen catalyst life time. Therefore, Platinum Plus® offers the potential to introduce emission control functionality to these applications and opens up the possibility to improve local air quality in these challenging regions.
