Clean Diesel Technologies Announces a New Non-Executive Director to the Board

STAMFORD, CT (09 June 2005) … Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. (CDT) (EBB:CDTI & AIM:CDT/CDTS), a developer of chemical and technological solutions to reduce harmful engine emissions, today announces the appointment of John Jay McCloy II to the Board with immediate effect.

Mr. McCloy, aged 67, brings 40 years' experience in the corporate management, international finance and private equity / venture capital industries. Mr. McCloy is currently the Chairman of Gravitas Technology Inc., an information technology firm focused on the financial sector and was previously CEO of NCT Group, Inc. on whose board he still sits.

Alongside his extensive business experience, John has strong transatlantic links and vital connections with Asia and Europe. McCloy is currently a member of the US Council on Foreign Relations and is also a member of the Advisory Board of Princeton University (his alma mater). He is a Director of Ashland Management, Inc., Sound Shore Mutual Fund, Inc., Patriot Oil (UK) Limited and the American Council on Germany. In addition, McCloy advises a range of global organizations on policy matters. John was formerly a Director of Business Development for Nicholson International and Chairman of Mondial Limited.
